而伦敦也一路见证着天行学子们的A(Ambitious有野心)、B(Bold勇敢无畏)、C(Caring 关爱他人)、D (Devoted全情投入)、E(Erudite博学多识)。
Imperial college London and the university of Cambridge are among the world's top universities which can be compared favourablywith ivy league universities locatedin the United States. The G5groupis particularly popular in China, and the eliteuniversities in Britain have naturally become the key pointthat we payattentionto. As the saying goes, one picture is worth a thousand words. There are a vast number ofprestigiousuniversities in Britain,Which ones are suitable for our students?During the winter holiday this year, 28 10 grades students from Teensen International Schoolwent to London for in-depth investigation and communication under the leadership of Kelvin and Evaand me.

The first stop of the tour is Imperial College London (ICis called for short), a post-doctoral lecturer in electrical and electronic engineering of IC, and deputy director of the joint research center for intelligent power and energy systems of Imperial College and Tsinghua universitywho is called Fei Teng gave us a detailed introduction of IC.According to theunderstand we knew that the most popular subjects of IC are engineering, medicine, natural sciences and business, with 65% of its students coming from countries out of the UK, among which the largest proportion of them come from China, with the latest figure of 2,600studentin 2019.Thirty-five percent of the faculty are from other parts of the world. Therefore, it is an International University in the true sense.

Dr.TENG also emphasized that IC can be applied through the UCAS system. The deadline for application is January 15th every year. IC does not accept direct applications or exchange requirements. In addition to marvellous academic performance, IC requires at least A* in mathematics and A in physics, as well as A in the third subject . Personal documents and professional letters of recommendation are also particularly crucial.

傲娇的剑桥大学面试更有意思,面试官有时候会问一些很奇葩的问题比如“How would you poison someone without the police finding out 如何给一个人下毒,且不会被警察发现?”还有“What would you do if I were a magpie 如果我是一只喜鹊,你会做什么?”
The second stop on the tour was Cambridge university, where the lecture was given by Thies Lindenthal, professor of land economics. Thies, a native German, studied computer science as an undergraduate before dropping out to start his own software company.Meanwhile, hecontinued to study business management in the Netherlands. Finally, he overcameall thedifficulties in theway to the university of Cambridge to study for a doctorate in land economics. He says,to get into Cambridge, youmust first bethe best among all candidatesand become remarkablein the subject that youwant to study. In addition, IELTSrequires a score of 7.5, with a minimum score of 7at each part.To apply for the university of Cambridge, in addition to submitting the Application on UCAS, the university of Cambridge's own Application system, the Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA), is also required.Tsundere Cambridgeuniversityinterview is evenmuchmore interesting, with interviewers sometimes asking bizarre questions for instance"How would you poison someone without the police finding out?""And" What would you do if I were a magpie?

No matterImperial College orCambridge, there is no doubt that the selection process is very rigorous, but the charm and highly personalized academic atmosphere of the prestigious universities isextremelyevident in the two admissions officers' meetings. Before coming to the UK, many students had always thought of Oxford and Cambridge as a pure place forgenius and could not be compared with them. Now it seems that people who can come hereisjustbecause theyhave dreams and brave to work hard .Why not us?Perhaps Oxford and Cambridge are not far away, we think they are far away just because of our inner obstacles. As long aswe areunswervinto make our ownefforts to go on,it will lead to a brilliantplaceahead!
The most impressive part of the three-day volunteer activity during the trip was that in order to raise funds for the Fulham Reach Boat Club, the students were divided into groups and walked upto the streets of London to hand out leafletsin orderto help more people have access to the project. At the beginning, students werevery nervous, and a little afraidof this thing, every time when they say: "sorry, excuse me...", many peoplerefused with smile, butstill some people succeeded. Yes, life is full of rejection, but as long as you insist, there will always be someonewho will stay for you, especially the satisfaction that they gained from communication in English confidently, I think this can not be measured by any kind of value.Even when the activity was coming to theend, on the way to the gathering, ourstudents still did not stop to publicize the activity to passers-by.

In addition, in bad weather, students took part in cleaning up the river rubbishalong the ThamesBanks . In fact, in Britain, the work of cleaning up the river garbageis done by volunteers from all walks of life. While we were shocked by the spirit of British people participating in charity activities, through the series of volunteer activities, we also saw the precious spirit of Teensen’sstudents -- that is, Bold. When we step out of our comfort zone and break throughourselvesbravely, we gain opportunities, gain gratitude, gain growth.

I remember when we just arrived in the UK, some students reminded teachersthat Jessica was going to celebrate her birthday in the UK.I didn't expect that everyone would buy Jessica a birthday present when they went to the supermarket. What's more, when we had dinner in the western restaurant, we saw that the British boy who had been serving us all the time was working very hard. When our studentheard that the teacher proposed to give hima tip, theyall agreed and contributed theirown part. When the boy knew we were from China, he kept saying thank you excitedly. When we recordedand broadcastthe video "Happy New Year", other guests also applauded for us.

In the last few nights in the UK, we held a gratitude sharing conference to summarize what we have learned in London and who or what we want to be grateful for.I wanted to use this meeting to practice students' ability to summarize and share, but the result was beyond our expectation.Later, during the timewe went to somewheretogether, we get along more harmoniously and more concerned about each other.Anytime when a student expressedlack ofconfidence, there were always a hard applause for cheering this person up;When our studentsawhis or herpartner dozing off because of timelag, theywill remind themkindly. When they sawtheir partner's shoelacegot loose, they croucheddownin orderto tie their shoelace. When theyheard the serious outbreak of the new coronavirus in China, several students proposed to provide N95 masks for everyonewho are need it.

After visiting the BMW mini factory, the British museum, the British museum of natural history, the university town of Cambridge, Windsor castle and other scenic spots, the teachers arranged Project&Discussion, which iscompulsoryevery day.
But the most exciting part of the trip was the three days of professional courses at university college London (UCL).
On the first day, Wehad the honor to listen to the lecture of Dr.Chueng, a famous doctor of UCL architecture department, TheBelt AndTheRoadinitiativePPP expert of the national development and reform commission with a Taiwanese, and learned about the evolution history of London's urban structure design.we were almost familiar with the whole history of Britain, the lecture is humorous, lively and interesting, Healso continued to praise and encourage everyone, students werestimulated andlaida solid foundation for the next course!

The secondday wastaught by Chris Brierley, a former postdoctoral fellow at Yale who is now an associate professor of environmental science in the department of geography at UCL.His teaching method is very interesting. He has explained global warming in his major of geography and physics, and I am glad to see that all the students participatedin it. What is particularly impressive is the Chris Brierley's method of teachingwhich is called group discussion. After explaining all the theoretical points, ask the students to make proposals on behalf of each department in a form similar to model united nations. The most touching part is the classification/deep digging of personal emotions in the end, student were asked to stand in different cornersof the classroom, and representeddifferent emotions, and acceptedthe interview. After class, we went back to thehotel, the students continued to discuss the presentation assessment on the third day in the evening, if the moon did not sleep, they did not sleepat the same time.

I have all the time to wait”让大家知道“你必须开口”。
On the third day, Ramin Nassehi, a graduate of Oxford University and the London school of economics, is now a Professor of economics at UCL.At first, I heard that he was the ace professor of economics at UCL, who is extremely strict, and we were all little worried. But the professor knows a lot about Chinese students, and his "I have all the time to wait" enables everyonetoknow that "you have to speak".In addition to the simple and popular teaching method to let us know what "world economy" is. The most important thing is to teach us how to make a presentation: there must be a clear outline, your message must be shock, and a reflective summary.Soon it was time for the most exciting part of thegrouppresentation, where students were from "complete silence in class" to "jaw-dropping nods".Even the professor on the first day praised the performance on the third day for their great progress.

After seeingeach student stoodon the platformwiththe fluent talkand tacit team cooperationin this trip, they really got improvedwith individual, with the group, with theTeensen’swillingto fully immersed in these days study. For the student whogot or did notget a letter of attainment, they must also know that effort may not have reward, but if no effort was made, one must don’t have any reward.Whenever you pay something to do things, it must be worthwhile.
We see ourselvesby seeingthe world .Study Tour allows us to see the world from a more diversified perspective and is also a way to re-open ourselves. On this trip, we did see both our strengths and our weaknesses; It makes the path of our life more solid, more smooth, and our goals are more clear.I think the impact of the study tour on all sides can not be fully measured today; It planted a bunchof seeds in the place that we can see or can not see, which can make students go to the bigger world firmly, become a better version of themselves!
